"But when
that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be
done away." |
"Most people are bothered by those passages in scriptures which
they cannot understand. But for me, I always notice that the
passages in scripture which trouble me the most are those that I do
understand."

At home with the Lord : Uncle P. J. Thomas.
For
we know that if our earthly house of [this] tabernacle were dissolved, we
have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the
heavens. 2 Corinthian 5:2
The tabernacle that housed Uncle P. J. Thomas for 82 years, gave in to the
the mortal conditions that cause the whole creation to groan. He slipped
peacefully out of his weakened body, into His presence, surrounded by his
loving family, in hope of the resurrection; knowing that "this mortal shall
have put on immortality", and that his precious dust God will freshly mold
it into the fashion of the Savior he loved and served. How good to think
that today he has seen the Lord Jesus in His glory. It is a joy to think of
him in the presence of the Lord Jesus, but yet a temporary sorrow for those
left here. While he will be greatly missed by his family and those with whom
he fellowshipped, we all look forward to the day when we shall be reunited
at the coming of our Lord.
We can but only give thanks to the Lord for the medical care and attention
he received in the hospital according to His mercies during his illness.
Precious in the sight
of the Lord is the death of His saints. Psalm 116:15 In the last few months, our dear Uncle was cared for by
his family: his wife, his children and grandchildren, who showed a great
example of caring for an elderly father and husband, while the outer man was
perishing, seeing his health deteriorating day after day.
Heaven is filling fast, we will not be far behind our loved ones - the Lord
is coming soon. Until we hear the shout - even so, come Lord Jesus! May the
Lord comfort our hearts by the hope of His soon return.

Prayer Matters
Kindly pray for our beloved Stacey, who continues to be under treatment, for
pulmonary hypertension. As her disease is congenital, the family underwent a
lot of suffering all these years. The earnest and continuous prayers of the
believers is needed for her recovery. Let us continuously uphold this young
sister to the Throne of Grace for heavenly intervention for a complete
recovery.
